Playlists on the web (BETA)

Playlists have had a glow-up!

You can now view and share your custom playlists right from your web browser. Showcase your favorite music to the Bandcamp community, grab shareable links, and take your playlists beyond the app.

Here’s the lowdown:

  • Create your playlist in the Bandcamp fan app (not on the website).

  • Use songs from your collection only (this includes music redeemed using a code)—we’re all about the music you already own and love.

  • You can listen to your own playlists in the fan app anytime, or via the Playlists tab on the Bandcamp website.

  • Want to share them? Make them public using either app or web, and listen via the web.

  • Friends and fans can listen, too - but only 3 plays per track for songs they don’t own (or as limited by the artist).

How do I make a playlist?

You’ll need to use the fan app. Head here for a guide.

How do I publish or unpublish a playlist?

To share your playlist or get a shareable link, you need to make it public first.

  • On the Web: Go to your playlist, click the Public/Private toggle at the top, and confirm.

  • In the Fan App: * Open your playlist, tap More (...) > Make playlist public/private.

    • Alternatively, from your main playlist list, press and hold the playlist, then select Make playlist public/private.

How do I get a shareable link for my playlist?

Once your playlist is set to Public, simply tap the Share icon in the fan app or copy the URL from your web browser.

In the fan app:

• Tap More > Make playlist public/private

• Tap the Share icon

• Or, in your playlist list, press and hold on a playlist > Make playlist public/private

Why “Beta”?

We’re still testing and improving things! If you have feedback, we’d love to hear it. Now’s the perfect time to build your ‘late-night drive’ or ‘cooking-up-a-feast’ playlist and start sharing.

Can I stream the songs in a playlist an unlimited number of times?

  • For music you own: Yes! You can stream your owned tracks an unlimited number of times.

  • For music you don't own: If you are listening to someone else's playlist, you are limited to 3 streams per unowned track (or the limit set by the artist).

Why have some of the tracks disappeared from my playlist?

Some tracks (like private, deleted, or non-streaming ones) won’t show up in public playlists—even for you. We’ll give you a heads-up if any of these are in your playlist when you try to publish it.

I don’t have a fan account. Can I still listen to playlists?

You must be logged into a fan account to access playlists. If you don’t have a fan account yet, what are you waiting for? They are free to create, and you can sign up here.

If you already have a fan account but have noticed you can only view the playlist but not listen, ensure you are logged in to your fan account first. If you click a track and are not yet logged in, you'll be prompted to do so.

Can I edit playlists on the web?

Not yet—but it’s coming soon after the BETA launch! Think of your fan app as a ‘creation station’ for making those playlists.

Can I listen to my own playlists via the web?

Absolutely. Once you create a playlist in the fan app, it will automatically appear under the Playlists tab on your web profile. You can also open any shareable playlist link directly in your browser.
