If you own a copyright that is being infringed, you can submit a claim using our copyright infringement form. This is the fastest way to get your claim reviewed.
For copyright owners and authorized agents
Bandcamp processes copyright claims in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) as described in our Intellectual Property Policy. Rightsholders can submit infringement claims on Bandcamp through the form linked below:
Please keep in mind:
We share a copy of your notice with the person who uploaded the content. That copy includes your name or your organization’s name. If this raises privacy concerns, you can have an authorized representative submit the claim for you.
You may be liable for damages if you knowingly misrepresent that content is infringing.
The form is for copyright infringement claims only. For other intellectual property issues, see our Intellectual Property Policy. For any other suspected violations of our Terms of Use or Acceptable Use Policy, click the "Report" link near the content in question.
If you’d rather send a written notice by email or mail, our Intellectual Property Policy lists the information it must include and where to send it. Claims sent through the online form are processed faster.
What happens next: We’ll review your claim. If it’s valid, we’ll remove the content and we’ll let the uploader know. The uploader can respond with a counter-notice if they believe the content was removed by mistake. Accounts that repeatedly infringe copyright will be terminated in accordance with our repeat infringer policy.
If the uploader files a counter-notice: We will forward you a copy, including the uploader's contact information. If you do not notify us that you have filed a court action within 10 business days and are unable to reach an agreement with the uploader directly, the content may be restored at our discretion.
For everyone else
Only the copyright owner, or someone authorized to act for them, can submit a copyright claim. If you think that music on Bandcamp is being used without permission or you've spotted a fake account, you can still let us know.
To report it:
Go to the artist page or release page where the content appears.
Click the “Report” link at the bottom of the page.
Choose the reason that best fits, add any details, and submit.
You may also want to tell the artist or rights holder and send them a link to this article so they can submit a claim themselves.
