Reporting digital sales: To get album sales on Bandcamp reported to music charts, you'll need a UPC. To get track sales reported, you'll need ISRCs for each track. In the good old days of compact discs, these codes were burned into a special track on your CD by a mastering engineer. Reporting physical merch sales: If you’d like us to report sales of any physical formats (vinyl, cassettes, CDs) to the US and Canadian charts, you’ll need to enter a unique UPC/EAN code for the item in the merch editor:
When you add a UPC/EAN to a physical item with a download, we’ll report that sale to SoundScan when the order is marked as shipped. As of October 2020, Billboard no longer allows merchandise (t-shirts, tote bags, tickets, etc.) to be bundled with physical albums.
