How to refund a digital purchase: If you need to refund a digital track or album purchase, just contact our Support Team directly with the fan’s email address and Bandcamp payment ID. Once a refund is issued, they’ll no longer have the option to download or stream that release.
How to refund a physical order, Standard Payments: In most cases, payments for physical orders are sent directly from the fan to your PayPal account, meaning you can refund the order directly from within the PayPal associated with your Bandcamp account. To do so, just log into your PayPal account on paypal.com, search for the transaction ID under the Activity tab, and follow the prompts. Once the refund is issued, the Bandcamp order will be seamlessly removed from your Merch Orders page and the revenue share balance on your artist account will update automatically to reflect the refund.
How to refund a physical order that was collected by Bandcamp to cover your revenue share balance: For any orders that were collected by Bandcamp to cover an outstanding revenue share balance on your account, contact us with the fan’s email address and the Bandcamp payment ID, and we’ll gladly sort out the refund on our end. You’ll see that amount added back to your revenue share balance once the refund has been issued.
How to refund a physical order, Enhanced Payments: For sellers using Enhanced Payments, you’ll find the option to refund any physical order from your Merch Orders page. Just search for the email, last name, or payment ID for that order, then find the “refund this order” link to the right of the order details.
A fan opened a dispute over a merch order. What should I do?: Once a dispute or claim has been filed against an order, it will not be possible to issue a refund through Bandcamp. For more information on how to handle disputes, check our Help article.
