You won’t need print-ready art in order to launch your campaign, but you will need it once your campaign succeeds. Once you’ve reached your goal we’ll forward you the relevant templates for your album: center label, jacket art, insert art, etc. If you’re unfamiliar with image editing software such as Photoshop and InDesign we would strongly recommend employing the help of a professional graphic designer.
Before you get started on your artwork, please carefully review each of the following requirements:
-
- Your art must be submitted using the Bandcamp templates provided by your Vinyl Rep. We cannot accept any other templates.
- Your submitted art must include the template on its own layer, on top of all other layers. The template should be visible and kept above all other layers.
- Your submitted art must keep separate layers intact. This means you’ll need at least two layers - one for your artwork and one for the template. Files with flattened layers cannot be accepted.
- Please only submit PDF files compatible with Acrobat 8/9 (PDF 1.7). This will ensure that Acrobat layers are created and that the template can be removed as needed. You can download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader here to check your file contains the appropriate layers.
- Images should be 300 DPI resolution or higher and CMYK.

-
- If you are using Illustrator, Quark, or InDesign: Please ensure all images are embedded. All text should be converted to outlines.
- If you are using Photoshop: Please ensure text and images are rasterized and flattened.
- Please add at least 3mm (0.125") bleed to all sides. Important text and logos should not be closer than 3mm (0.125″) to die-cut lines. The dashed lines within the template are 3mm (0.125”) from the die-cut lines.

After you submit your art, the pressing plant will generate PDF proofs for you to review and approve.
