You should visit the show page well in advance of the scheduled start time so that you can do a final connection test and make sure everything is working as it should.
An hour before the show, you’ll see a countdown timer to remind you to go live when the show is scheduled to begin. Don’t worry, this is still something you have to do manually when you’re ready, but you should aim to go live as close to the start time as possible.
To preview your stream, connect OBS using the connection details in the video window on the Bandcamp show page. If you’ve previously tested the stream from the show page, these should not have changed since then and will most likely be in OBS already.
Once you’re ready to test, click "Start streaming" in OBS and you should see your stream connect within a few seconds. Check your video and audio and if everything looks good, you’re ready to go when the countdown reaches zero.
Doors open 30 minutes before the show’s start time, which means that fans can start chatting from then on. You may want to join the conversation or simply observe.
When the countdown reaches zero you will be able to click the "Go live" button on the show page. If you are still previewing your video, you will have to stop streaming by clicking "Stop streaming" in OBS. The "Go live" button will then be active and you can click it to start the show. Once the show has started, you can click "Start streaming" from OBS to start the broadcast.
Ending the show
When the show is over, first disconnect OBS by clicking "Stop streaming" in the OBS window. Then, you can click "End live stream" on the Bandcamp show page and viewers will be informed that the show is over.
