Pre-show testing
You should visit the show page well in advance of the scheduled start time so that you can do a final connection test and make sure everything is working as it should.
An hour before the show, you’ll see a countdown timer to remind you to go live when the show is scheduled to begin. Don’t worry, this is still something you have to do manually when you’re ready, but you should aim to go live as close to the start time as possible.
To preview your stream, connect your streaming software using the connection details in the video window on the Bandcamp show page. If you’ve previously tested the stream from the show page, these should not have changed since then and will most likely be in your streaming software already.
Once you’re ready to test, connect your stream (for example, in OBS click "Start streaming"). You should see your stream connect within 10-20 seconds. Check your video and audio and if everything looks good, you’re ready to go when the countdown reaches zero.
Doors Open
Doors open 30 minutes before the show’s start time, which means that fans can start chatting from then on. You may want to join the conversation or simply observe.
Go live!
When the countdown reaches zero, connect your stream and click the "Go live" button on the show page. And that's it - you're live! Note that, to avoid the risk of audio feedback, we automatically mute the audio on your side when you go live. Don't worry, your viewers will be able to hear you.
Ending the show
When the show is over, disconnect your streaming software and then hit "End live stream" on the Bandcamp show page. Viewers will then be informed that the show is over. The show page will remain open for an hour, allowing fans to continue to buy merch and chat.
