Bandcamp Sync for Shopify highlights unexpected situations that require your intervention. Here are explanations of the most common errors and warnings, along with tips for how to solve them.
This product’s Shopify locations don't match your shipping origins on Bandcamp. Did they change?
If you see this warning, it means that the product’s locations on Shopify have changed since you originally synced the item. You should double-check them if that is not expected. Note that this is a warning — Bandcamp Sync for Shopify will continue to work, but inventory for this item will be set to zero at Bandcamp shipping origins without a matching Shopify location. Similarly, Shopify locations without a match in Bandcamp shipping origins won’t sync with Bandcamp.
This item was unsynced from Shopify because the SKU was removed
This means the item was once synced to an item on Shopify, but that match can no longer be made because the SKU field was deleted either on Bandcamp or Shopify. To fix, edit the item on Bandcamp or Shopify and add the SKU back.
This item was unsynced from Shopify because the SKU changed
This means the SKU changed on Bandcamp, and we cannot find a matching SKU on Shopify. To fix this, double-check that the new SKU on Bandcamp is correct and matches the one on Shopify
Unable to sync because the SKU matches more than one Shopify product
This means that the item’s SKU on Bandcamp matches two different products on Shopify. I.e., the Shopify SKU is not unique. To fix, change the SKUs in Shopify so that only one matches the SKU of the item on Bandcamp.
