For an overview of how subscriptions work, please visit this page. You’ll also find a link to that guide by opening your user drop-down menu and selecting the “subscription” option.

When you’re ready to get started, click the “Try it out” button. This will take you to your subscription editor page, where you can begin the set-up process. If you need more time to get everything in order, you can click the “Save draft” button at the bottom of the page so you can come back and publish your subscription later.

Connecting a Stripe Account

Before you can publish your subscription, you’ll need to connect your Stripe account to receive payments from your subscribers. On the subscription editor page, scroll down to Payments section and click “Set up Stripe payments” to create a Stripe account or connect an existing one.

If you already have a Stripe account, enter the email address associated with it and log in. If you don’t have a Stripe account, click “Create New Account” and follow the prompts. You can learn more about the account specifics here.

Note: We recommend setting your Stripe payout schedule to “automatic every week.” This will ensure you have available funds in your account to issue a refund, if necessary. Otherwise, you may need to add funds to your Stripe account balance manually, which could result in additional fees.

Once your Stripe account is connected, you can head back to the subscription setup page by clicking “Return to Bandcamp,” save your draft, and then publish when you’re ready!
