To enable Shipping Label purchase from your Bandcamp account, you’ll need to do a few things first:
Create an account on EasyPost if you don’t have one
Set up an EasyPost wallet with a funding source (i.e., a credit card for purchasing postage)
Generate an EasyPost API key especially for Bandcamp.
If you already have an EasyPost account and wallet set up to purchase shipping labels, jump to the Generate API key setup section below. Otherwise, start with the next section, Create your EasyPost account.
Create your EasyPost account
Important: Signing up for an EasyPost account from the links in your Bandcamp account will prevent delays in your ability to buy postage!
You can sign up for your EasyPost account from the Get Started dialog when you first attempt to purchase a label:
You can also sign up from the Shipping Labels section of your account’s Tools page:
In either case, select Sign up for free on EasyPost. This will open the EasyPost signup page in a new tab. Follow the prompts to create an EasyPost account.
Be sure to verify the account from the confirmation email, and choose “Business” account when prompted.
Setting up your EasyPost wallet
Once you’ve set up your EasyPost account, you must create a “wallet”, basically a prepaid charge card for use on EasyPost. To do this:
On EasyPost, choose Account Settings on the left side of the main page. From there choose the Billing tab
Locate the section called Shipping Wallet
Choose Setup Wallet
Follow the prompts to Add Credit Card
Once you’ve added your credit card, select Add Funds and then choose whether you want to add funds manually to the wallet (One Time Funding) or via auto-reload
Your EasyPost wallet should be loaded and ready to use to purchase shipping labels. There’s one more step: to fully connect EasyPost to your Bandcamp account artist or label account, you must generate an EasyPost API key and provide it to Bandcamp.
Generate a new API key and paste it into Bandcamp
In EasyPost, in the menu on the left, go to Account Settings > API Keys
Select the Add Additional API Key button in the top right, and from the drop-down, select Production
A new production key API key will be generated - select copy to copy it to your clipboard
Return to the Bandcamp tab that you started from, either in the Get Started dialog or the Shipping Labels section of the Tools page
Paste in the API key from your clipboard into the text box EasyPost API Key, making sure to click either Add API Key or Save to save the key to Bandcamp
Bandcamp is now connected to your EasyPost account. You should be able to purchase shipping labels from your Bandcamp merch orders page.
